Where does one start? After
Suncoast in '88, moved to California and marched BD in '89. Then on to Las
Vegas where I went to UNLV for a while...then on to Dallas where I went to
Univ. of North Texas and got a degree in Finance. Still continued to teach and
drum throughout all of those years!
Once I graduated, I moved back home to Nashville, TN where I still live with my
soon to be wife Stephanie (wedding is Aug. 31st, 2002).
I'm still involved with the drum corps activity via a few ways! I'm Director of
Marketing for Pearl drums. I started an indoor percussion ensemble called Music
City Mystique (www.musiccitymystique.org). We compete in WGI. I'm on the WGI
Board of Directors and still see A LOT of Suncoast people in my travels!
I can honestly say that Suncoast are some of my fondest drum corps
memories....thanks to all who made it possible!
Kim Cochrane (Crass) I am currently living in Milwaukee with my husband Kevin and my two beagles Dixie and Delta.
James
Coe I spent 10 1/2 years in the navy. The moved from Florida to Arizona and became a professional student.

Carol Conley (Tate) Graduated from UF in 1992. Stay at home mom living in Cary, NC. Married Jeff, (converted to drum corps fan) in 1993, our daughter was born July 24, 1999. So glad that this site exists, I have often wondered what everyone is doing. Try to make it to as many shows as possible and often see finals on TV. It is great to see that so many of you are teaching kids to love music and marching as much as we do!
Brian Cook I received a Bachelor's in Music from The University of North Florida in 1994. My students are following in the great Suncoast tradition by performing original music for our 2002 Show, "American Heroes - Fallen and Risen", a musical journey through 9/11. The format closely resembles that of Symphonic Dances '88 (Don't worry, Robert said it was OK to plagiarize). JEFF SWANSON - HOW DO YOU FEEL??? WHOOAAA!!!
Shannon Cox
Marched in 1986 as a Soprano
and Marched again in 1987 before being dismissed by Robert Smith for harmless
shenanigans on the bus....Way to go Robert!!!! Was probably the best anyway,

experience in 1986.

I keep myself occupied with Clan Cunningham, USA - that is a Scottish clan - as its genealogist. I also attend Renaissance Festivals and Scottish Festivals. I enjoy making costumes for both. I also quilt some - Deana and I exchange quilt blocks. And to think - all this sewing started by sewing flags for SkyRyders! I am working for a commercial kitchen manufacturers rep group called Ettinger-Rosini in Dallas. I am currently in customer service. Other than that - just enjoying life and living! God Bless you all - I miss you!

down syndrome, autism, etc., It's going great. I presented this curriculum at
the 2000 and 2001 FMEA convention and have applied for the national MENC
convention. Suncoast Sound was a wonderful experience.

We live in sunny Brandon, Florida. I still play the horn on weekends in a show and party band. It's something you can never really give up. But, not depending on music for a living sure makes time for the important things in life. I've got 2 daughters and a wonderful wife. It's amazing how priorities change over the years! (Those of you that knew me back in the 80's know what I mean.) Most of my greatest teenage memories are from Suncoast Sound. I wish I could say I miss doing Drum Corps, but I know I would probably cripple myself with some of the things we used to do on the field!

Suncoast afforded me the opportunity to develop lifelong friendships with
wonderful folks like Jeff Hartsough, Richie Viano, Victor Hornilla, Matt
Hughen, John Campese ... it goes on and on. I only now am coming to fully
appreciate the enormous talent that this special group helped to cultivate.
I still get a little misty when I think of finals night in Kansas City... My

show video! Boy does it seem dated compared to today!!
Thanks to those with whom I marched for putting up with the ever present
walk-man!

Color Guard is still very much a part of my life. I make costumes and flags,
and I help teach whenever I can.

My wife and I live in Gaithersburg, MD while I work on my MBA from the Kogod
School Of business at American University. After Suncoast, I marched with the
Crossmen. I played in every ensemble at Syracuse University, as well as serving
as Drum Major of the SUMB in 1993. It was one of the greatest experiences. I've
had to be associated with Suncoast Sound. Oh yeah, Bill Durst married my
sister!

Yes, I am currently "one of
them" and would love for you to help me in keeping the torch burning! Write me
